MOTHER'S DAY PROJECT

Rotary Club of Mount Victoria has a long-standing collaboration with Juliette Florist to delivering flowers in the Wellington region for Mother's Day weekend.

Proceeds from the delivery fees will go towards funding Rotary youth programmes to empower our future generation of young leaders.

We are looking for volunteers, especially if you are keen to put smiles on the faces of Wellington mothers!

CIRCUS QUIRKUS

Circus Quirkus is a family-orientated show featuring aerialists, acrobats, clowns contortionists, jugglers, hula hoop dancers and more.  It has been touring New Zealand since 2002, with Rotary Mount Victoria supporting for the Wellington leg of the touring show.
Tickets are sponsored by local businesses and provided on a complimentary basis to disadvantaged children and their families. The profits from the Wellington show are distributed by Rotary Mount Victoria to fund  various local funding needs such as the Wellington Children’s Hospital and Wellington Free Ambulance.

TREE PLANTING

The club has planted and continues to maintain a small grove of trees on Mount Victoria for the benefit and enjoyment of the local community.

DICTIONARY PROJECT

Since 2008, the club has supplied dictionaries to Mount Cook Primary School in Wellington and also sent dictionaries to a school in Bougainville.
In addition, each year we have provided Mt Cook School with funding to provide a book as a leaving present for students moving on to intermediate school.

RONALD MACDONALD HOUSE MEAL

Ronald MacDonald House provides free accommodation to family members of children from outside Wellington who require ongoing treatment at Wellington Children's Hospital.  This is an evening where we have the privilege to cook a meal for the current residents at the house.

SIGNED $5 NOTES

After many years selling $5 notes, autographed by Sir Edmund Hillary, via our website, the remaining $5 notes have been transferred to the Himalayan Trust. We believe that this will provide an enduring funding source for the work of the Trust in Nepal.
